Is it true that if your kitten has a strangely long tail, he'll grow very big?
My kitten is about 8 months old. He's kind of gangly and small, and I always assumed that he wouldn't grow much bigger, even though he's still a kitten. But my auntie came round our house and saw him today, and told me that his tail is unusually long, and that's a sign that when he's an adult he'll be larger than the average cat. Is this true?
His tail IS pretty long. It's about the length of his body and half again. He's half housecat, half Burmese.
I've raised Siamese, and sometimes their tails look extra long when they're kittens. All of mine have grown "into" their tails, but they're not large cats........7-9 lbs.
It's probably the Burmese in your cat that's making the tail look extra long.
