Wedding Ring Experts please?
Ok you don't have to be an expert, as long as you know what im talking about.
I am looking to buy an engagement ring.
I wanted to know what you ladies find more important in a ring.
The size is 1 Carat. It will either be a Princess or a Marquise cut.
My question is, would you rather have a ring that is
A. Color (D or E) Calrity (Si 1) - Everything else is perfect
or
B. Color (G or H) Clarity (Vs1 or Vs2) everthing else is perfect.
to summarize, is Color or Clarity more important?
Also, should i look for "No Florescence" or is "faint florescence" ok?
Also if i go with the marquise cut, what ratio looks best? should i go for the 2.0 ratio? or someting not as narrow.
With a princess cut, the most important thing would be to look at the polish and symmetry, since those help determine how sparkly it'll be. I think that a G or H color with vs1 or vs2 would be better just because I would want to have as few flaws in my stone as possible.
If you decide on the D or E stone, make sure that it doesn't have fluorescence because it can make the stone look too blue. If you go with the G or H stone, try to see if you can get one with faint or even medium fluorescence since that'll help make the stone look lighter.
