Say, hypothetically, that you cut yourself. Upper forearm area. Now... Under the skin, it is lavender pink, and the blood doesn't really show up at first, not a lot, anyways... just in little beads. Is this a particularly bad thing? Would you need stitches?
It sounds like bruising. Purple-pink color under the skin around a cut...it's bruising.
If it's not bleeding, why would you need stitches? Usually if a cut starts bleeding by bubbling blood or beads of blood it's shallow. You need stitches if the wound is very deep, gaping, or will not stop bleeding after you apply pressure.
If I were you, I would just wash it, put an antibacterial cream on it, and stick a bandage on it.
